What to expect when bringing home an Aspenleaf Sheltie.
At Aspenleaf Shelties, each litter is planned with health, temperament, and breed quality in mind. Puppies are raised in the home, socialized thoughtfully, vet-checked, and kept up to date on age-appropriate care before they leave for their new homes in Georgia and beyond.
Companion puppies are usually ready to go home around eight to ten weeks of age. Show prospects may stay longer while we evaluate growth and development.
We screen prospective homes carefully because each puppy is a long-term commitment. Our goal is not simply to place puppies quickly, but to place them well.
We are located in Dewy Rose, Georgia, and often work with families from Atlanta, Athens, Augusta, and surrounding areas who are looking for a Shetland Sheepdog breeder in Georgia.
Raised At Home
Early weeks matter.
Aspenleaf puppies are raised in the home with daily handling, close observation, and thoughtful socialization. We pay attention to confidence, curiosity, and the little details that help a puppy transition smoothly into a new family.
Is a Sheltie the right breed for you?
Shelties are affectionate, intelligent, and deeply devoted to their families. They can be reserved with strangers, energetic in play, and vocal if left untrained.
They do best with structure, companionship, exercise, and regular grooming. Families who enjoy a bright, responsive dog and are prepared for coat care usually find Shelties deeply rewarding.
